No parent should have to worry about how to feed their family. 

Your urgent donations are needed for the most vulnerable in our community.

Over the last 7 months, we have all been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, however the most vulnerable in our communities have been hit the hardest.

In Bradford:

• 25,000 children are on free school meals 

• 50% of children living in inner-city areas live in poverty 

• 1/3 of children have no access to the internet or device 

Many of these families have been plunged into poverty due to Covid19.  

There are over 1,000 families in Bradford that need your support today. 

With your help we can provide:

• Food Vouchers: £15 per child to provide nutritious meals

• Hardship Grants: £250 per family for utilities and basic supplies

• Activity packs cost: £5 per child to support primary education

• Internet Device: £120 per child to access online learning

During this October half-term, The Bradford Foundation Trust was able to set up an emergency response in 24 hours and work with 30 partners to provide 8,000 meals to children across the district. 

As we go into a second national lockdown, many families need ongoing support to eat. 

This is an urgent appeal as we need to continue supporting those most in need. 

Now is the time to come together in unity. 

Funds will be used as per need of the community.  At present funds, food and support resources are coming in many ways due to the crisis.

These children are suffering, without nutritional meals and without activities to do at home or internet access the gap is just widening, we have seen a massive surge in mental health issues in parents and children.

Bradford Foundation Trust is a registered charity that has worked with vulnerable families for the last 5 years and we need your support to provide activity packs, food vouchers and internet devices to families who have nowhere else to turn to.   We are looking to support families who usually rely on shelters, soup kitchens and community organisations to survive.

We have been on the front line since the start of the pandemic delivering:

• 5,000 food parcels 

• 10,000 meals

• 150 internet devices

• 2,000 hours of befriending calls 

• £20,000 in cash grants to individuals and small community groups
