We are very close to realising our biggest dream yet and setting up something totally unique: the first Islamic knowledge, retreat and nature centre in the Netherlands! After 10 years of growing the Fahm Institute and 5 years of actively looking for our own brick-and-mortar space, we’re almost there. We have found a great farmhouse with 3 hectares of nature, located at just a 1.5 hour drive from Amsterdam. This property has everything it needs to become the hub of Islamic development of the community and all its individual members. To be able to have this on Dutch soil would be a blessing for generations to come!

We still lack €90,000 for the purchase of the land for Fahm HOME. Help us realise this unique centre and donate a m2 of Fahm HOME to revive many beautiful sunnahs and facilitate:
- a Nature Muṣallā, with open-air Jumu'a
- FahMiNi activities: Islamic children's programs and Sunnah Sports
- a Qur'anic Garden: with all the plants, trees and flowers mentioned in the Qur’an!
- Islamic retreats: from MindfulMuslim programs to study weekends
- the keeping of Tayyeb animals (including bees and chickens)
- Da’wah in Dutch and English via the library, courses and workshops

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Fahm Institute is completely run by volunteers for 10 years already, alhamdulillah. For our live events, lectures, retreats and community activities, we’ve always had to rent a venue. Now it’s time to have our own community hub, where we can establish an Islamic holistic knowledge, retreat and nature centre. 

In 2014, ustaadhah Anne Dijk founded the Fahm Institute. With the help of other volunteers, they carried out the work for the sake of God and His Messenger. She had spent from her own resources, without any commercial motive, being active in da’wah for over 15 years. 

For Fahm HOME, ust. Anne Dijk and co-initiators Rudy van der Aar (Deen Travellers) and Rianne, have put their personal funds in this new project and reached over 85% of the amount needed to buy the property. This means that currently, the other 15% (€90,000) still needs to be raised through community funding. At this stage, we cannot proceed without additional support for the Fahm HOME, so please consider donating to this impressive project! 

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT

Every year, more than 1400 students and participants join the Fahm events, courses, retreats or lectures and become part of the ever-growing “Fahmily”. Children have bonded over the FahMiNi events (getting to know the Creator through Islamic activities in nature) and popular retreats were offered in English abroad (Mindful Muslim retreat). Since Europe is going through a surge in right-wing politics and anti-Islam rhetoric, we shouldn’t delay the establishment of a safe space for Muslims. This is the time to buy land for Muslims in Europe and reinforce the ummah for centuries to come. To be unapologetically Muslim. In this current climate, an important part of our inclusive mission is to connect and initiate dialogue not only within the ummah, but also with people of all walks of life, faits and cultures. We hope to establish this holistic space, open for everyone to enjoy Islamic hospitality.

WHAT WE OFFER

By giving to this campaign, you become an integral part of the Fahmily – the Fahm Community. Your donation will unlock the permaculture fields, the foodforest and the Qur’anic Garden. You enable children to get to know the Creator and creation through play. You’ll be able to practice muraaqabah and make ṣalah in the muṣallā and to study in the library. All will be there for you to visit whenever you wish. There are various levels of support:

• € of your choice; Every euro of support is welcome and will make you part of the Fahmily – the Fahm Community
• € 25,- : Donate a m2 Fahm HOME land
• € 50,- : Donate 2m2 Fahm HOME land
• € 75,- : Donate 3m2 Fahm HOME land
• € 100,- : Donate 4m2 Fahm HOME land 
  etc. 
  
  And if you want to donate more, we have a several options:
• € 1.000,- : You’ll become a founder and your name will be on the founders list
• € 5.000,- : You’ll become a founder and trees will be planted in your name and for your family in the Qur’anic Garden as a sadaqah jariyah
• € 10.000,- : You’ll become a founder and a room, field or place will be named after you, your (deceased) loved one or your favourite scholar in Islamic history.

BREAKDOWN OF THE COSTS

85% of the costs for purchasing the land are already covered, alhamdulillah!
- € 60.000,- will be used for the remaining amount for purchasing the plot and buildings
- € 30.000,- will be used for renovating the roof and floor of the indoor muṣallā and library/workshop room
