Africa is one of the poorest and most uneducated regions in the world. 

• Around 30% of Africa, more than 460 million people, were living below the EXTREME poverty line (Statista)
• Higher education gross enrolment ratio globally is 40%, yet in Sub-Saharan Africa it was only 9% (UIS database)
• Approximately 98 million Children in sub-Saharan Africa were out of school in 2021 (UNESCO Institute for Statistics)

Education will help break underprivileged Muslims out of the poverty cycle.

So far, the International Open University (IOU) has sponsored MORE than 4,000+ Muslim students in Africa with the help of our donors and many have ALREADY started to GRADUATE. 

IOU has also established more than 25 centers in more than 20 African countries, as many students don’t have access to computers, internet, and electricity.

Our goal is to provide scholarships to more than 1 million students in Africa.

Your Qurbani will not only provide immediate food aid to those in need but also pave the way for them to get educated as well.

2. The food will provide essential aid to those in severe need.
3. This will help elevate the local imam and help us establish better relationships with the community.
