Allah, The Most High, says in the Qur'an

“This day I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My favours upon you and I have chosen al-Islam as religion for you.” (Qur'an 5:3)
Tariq b. Shihab reported that a Jew came to ‘Umar and said:

Amir Al-Mo’mineen, there is a verse in your Book, which you recite. Had it been revealed in connection with the Jews, we would have taken it as the day of rejoicing. Thereupon he said: Which verse do you mean? He replied: "This day I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My favors upon you and I have chosen al-Islam as a religion for you." 

Umar said, “I know the day when it was revealed and the place where it was revealed. It was revealed to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) at 'Arafah on Friday.”

The Day of Arafah is one of the most significant days in the Islamic calendar and is often considered by scholars as THE SINGLE BEST day of the ENTIRE YEAR. 
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.” (Muslim)

As for you staying till the evening in 'Arafah, then Allah descends to the sky of the Dunya and He boasts about you to the Angels, and says: 'My slaves have come to Me, looking rough, from every deep valley hoping for My mercy, so if your sins were equivalent to the amount of sand or the drops of rain or like the foam on the sea I will forgive them. So go forth My slaves! Having forgiveness and for what or who you have interceded for.' (Tabarani)

As the Day of Arafah approaches and we are hoping for Allah's mercy, let's remember our less fortunate brothers and sisters living as refugees. This sacred day presents an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact by providing meals for those fasting in desperate situations.

Many refugees in Syria and Palestine face extreme hardships, including food insecurity. These vulnerable communities, especially orphans and widows, endure daily struggles with limited access to food. The Prophet ﷺ said:
