Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raj’ioun on October 2nd, 2021 the Ali family lost a daughter, sister, granddaughter and the Elmont community lost a dear friend.
Rifat Ali was only 14 years old.
Rifat was caught in a massive house fire on Marshall Street in Elmont, NY. It occurred at 6 AM, right before sunrise. Four of the occupants of the house were seriously injured & rushed to burn units. Sadly Rifat Ali, was pronounced dead by hospital staff on October 4th, 2021 after being hospitalized for her severe injuries. The large fire also caused extensive damage to the home, and now the family has no access to their belongings.
Our community is deeply saddened by this event, and so we wish to come together to give this family a hand of support.
Rifat's family is starting over from nothing while grieving their beloved daughter. We hope that we are able to support them and grant them some ease during this terribly hard time.
This campaign is being managed by the Elmont Islamic Center. All funds will go towards the needs of the family.
