We need to raise $50,000 for Adnan Syed's next appeal!

Adnan Syed, the man whose wrongful conviction case was featured in "Serial", "Undisclosed" and HBO's "The Case Against Adnan Syed" continues to fight to prove his innocence and win his freedom. Arrested in 1999 at the age of 17, Adnan has always maintained his innocence, and this May he turns 39 years old, having spent 21 years behind bars. 

In the past five years his team raised enough funds to pay for four appeals: at the circuit court, at the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, at the Maryland Court of Appeals, and at the US Supreme Court.

After two courts overturned his conviction, the MD Court of appeals reinstated it, and denied him a new trial in March 2019, which was upheld by the US Supreme Court in November 2019.

We now have to begin a new appeal process!
