March 28th UPDATE:

Eid is in two days, and our CBO partners in Gaza are busy sorting, packing, and delivering Eid clothes and shoes to children throughout Gaza. With excitement, children eagerly opened their parcels from the Beesan Association today and quickly tried on their new outfits. This year, 1000 children in Gaza will celebrate Eid in new clothes. Help us brighten their Eid day with a gift of clothes.

Eid is a special time for children, filled with joy and new clothes for festive visits to family and friends. But for families in Gaza, this happiness is out of reach. This Eid, you can bring smiles and joy to Gaza children by gifting them Eid clothes. Your help can make their celebration truly special.

2023 Eid Clothing Campaign by Rebuilding Alliance

Rebuilding Alliance, in partnership with four Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations, aims to provide clothes and shoes to 1000 children in Gaza. Each organization will select 200 children from families in extreme need, including children with special needs. Two children from each family will receive new clothes.

Your gift will bring much-needed hope and happiness to Gaza children.

2024 Winter Relief campaign by Rebuilding Alliance in Gaza, we provided 7,668 individuals across Gaza with warm clothes and shoes

Rebuilding Alliance’s relief work since the war began

  • RA’s dedicated teams in Gaza have been feeding 70,000 people a day since October 2023, thanks to the generosity of our donors and assistance from the World Food Programme. Our program, Mrs. Najah’s Kitchen, which became a role model for our hot meals program, was already delivering 4000 chicken and rice meals per week when the war started.
  • To protect displaced families from the cold in their tents, Rebuilding Alliance delivered warm clothing and shoes to families in Gaza in December. Our CBO partners distributed winter relief packages to 7,664 individuals, prioritizing widowed mothers, disabled persons, and orphans.
  • After tracing 182 children with PKU in September 2024, RA has been providing fresh vegetables, fruits, and canned goods to PKU families, helping them meet their low-protein nutritional needs to avoid permanent brain damage.
  • RA is also setting up two tent schools in Rafah to offer English, Science, and Art lessons to children who have missed out on school.
  • Additionally, RA is installing electric generators to pump water out of wells in Beit Lahia, bringing drinking water to local communities. This is the only area that has drinkable water in all of Gaza.

About Rebuilding Alliance

Rebuilding Alliance is a US-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equal rights for the Palestinian people through education, advocacy, and support that assures Palestinian families the right to a home, schooling, economic security, safety, and a promising future.

How did the Rebuilding Alliance learn to deliver food even when bombs were falling?

What we've learned is not something that came easily. In 2014, as 1000 bombs were falling each day, thousands ran for their lives, taking refuge in U.N. schools. The family whom the late Rachel Corrie sought to protect in Gaza asked us to arrange food deliveries and cleaning supplies when we thought it near impossible. Store owners accepted a promissory note from Rebuilding Alliance and the Rachel Corrie Foundation. Volunteers joined in to pick up the food, bringing it to the 2000 people taking refuge in each of the  UN schools. Thanks to the Arab American AntiDiscrimination Committee and to our guests, the Right to Movement Marathon Runners, we raised all the funds needed.

Please know that all our work is in full accordance with all U.S. laws and regulations.

Rebuilding Alliance's NGO Partners in Gaza

Thank you for giving new clothes, shoes, and hope to Gaza children on Eid

A heartfelt thanks to our generous supporters. Your kindness made it possible for children in Gaza to feel the joy and celebration of Eid, even in the midst of the war. During a time when families are struggling to meet even the most basic needs, your support brought new outfits and smiles to children.

Rebuilding Alliance, in collaboration with four Palestinian community-based organizations (CBOs), provided Eid clothing and shoes to 1,120 children across Gaza. Each CBO partner selected 200 children from their respective areas, selecting families experiencing extreme hardship, including children with special needs. Additionally, Rebuilding Alliance team in Gaza chose another 200 children. Two children from each family were selected to receive complete sets of clothing and shoes.

We secured clothing supplies from a trusted local vendor. Each outfit, which included a shirt and trousers for boys and a dress for girls along with shoes, cost $50. Our manager in Gaza purchased these supplies and delivered them to our Community-Based Organization (CBO) partners. Our dedicated CBO teams throughout Gaza worked tirelessly to sort, pack, and distribute the clothes in time for Eid.

The children excitedly opened their parcels, rushing to try on their new outfits with joy and pride. Their smiles said it all.

  • Amna, a ten-year-old living in a displacement camp in Gaza City, watched from a distance as our CBO partner, Youth Vision Society, handed out packs of outfits. When a staff member finally handed one to her, Amna could not contain her excitement. She shared that she had been unable to buy new clothes for Eid and couldn’t wait to wear them to school.
  • One mother, whose child received new Eid clothes through the Women’s Programs Center – Rafah, our CBO partner, shared her heartfelt gratitude: "We never expected to bring joy to our children because we simply couldn’t afford to buy Eid clothes for them… But today, I saw happiness in their eyes—thanks to you."
  • In another part of Gaza, Suheir, 10, and her brother Ahmed, 13, who had been displaced from Beit Lahia for nearly 15 months, received their Eid clothes package. Suheir was thrilled with her new clothes, especially admiring the vibrant colors. Ahmed, was surprised by the unexpected gift, said he couldn’t wait to wear his new clothes on Eid and celebrate with his friends. He also shared that he planned to wear them when he returned to school, adding another reason for him to feel excited and hopeful.
  • One young boy, overjoyed to receive his new Eid clothes, expressed his gratitude: "I was dreaming of having new clothes for Eid, but it felt impossible. You made my dream come true. Thank you so much!"
  • One mother, overwhelmed with gratitude, shared her heartfelt words: "The neighbor's children got new Eid clothes, and I am an abandoned wife... I was planning to take my kids to the sea so they wouldn’t have to see other kids dressed up. But you restored my heart and theirs. Thank you."

Children who once thought Eid would quietly pass them by were able to celebrate with excitement and joy. Because of you, their dreams became a reality.

After Eid, we learned about children whose parents are fighting cancer. With the help of Reem and the Women's Program Center in Rafah, our CBO partner, Rebuilding Alliance, delivered clothes and shoes to 120 children in Mawasi, Khan Younis, so they could experience happiness during Eid.

This Eid, you gave more than clothes—you gave children something far more precious: joy, dignity, and the feeling of being remembered. Your support made their Eid celebration possible. Thank you!
