By giving the gift of Water, you give life and hope to villages in the Desert in Pakistan.
This region has the lowest human development index in Pakistan. The drought conditions and the impact of climate change have meant lower-than-average crop production and livestock loss for years, which has caused significant health problems, including widespread malnutrition and deaths caused by unsanitary conditions. By giving Water, you give life and hope to whole communities.
Nothing Can Survive Without Water. Water is something that most of us take for granted. Villagers need Water for drinking, washing, ablutions, livestock and crops. Lack of safe drinking water puts families at risk of waterborne diseases and related illnesses. From as little as £175, you can protect families from the dangers posed by waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, typhoid, amebiasis, hepatitis, gastroenteritis, giardiasis, campylobacteriosis, scabies, and worm infections, to name a few.
The burden of fetching Water falls mainly on women and girls who must walk 20 km or more daily. The responsibility of bringing Water for everyday needs means that many girls lose the opportunity of gaining an education and their childhood.
Muslim Rose Welfare is one of the only charities consistently working in this remote, drought-stricken region of Sindh, Pakistan, for the last ten years. Muslim Rose Welfare has dug one of the deepest water wells at 850 feet to reach clean Water. We target our resources to gain the maximum benefit for the most people; More than 500 people can benefit from each hand pump and Water well.
We have installed over 600 hand pumps, 30 deep water wells with solar panels and 25 water wells. It is only possible by people like you who have donated generously to this worthy cause.
Help us continue providing Water to Pakistan through our "Give Water, Save Lives" project.
You can donate a hand pump or Water well with a name plaque to a family member or loved one who has passed away as Sadaqah Jariyah.
Ensuring access to clean water can greatly reduce the loss of lives in Tharparkar desert caused by consuming contaminated water sources.
