The fulfillment of nutrition for poor families in Indonesia is still a major concern, especially in efforts to reduce stunting and malnutrition rates. One of the main focuses is to increase access to nutritious food for poor families and vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, babies, toddlers, etc.

According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in March 2023 the poverty rate reached 9.36% of the total population, therefore in Indonesia, "there are around 25.9 million people living below the poverty line, which means millions of poor families need food and nutrition assistance to meet their basic needs".
