Our Goal

With your donations, we aim to continue to support the Mera Apna Ghar project, which is an orphan support program that includes the construction of housing, a school, a Mosque, and a hospital that will benefit approximately 270 orphans!

Alongside supporting orphans, funds collected will also support seniors living in Pakistan by funding retirement home expenses. This program will provide comprehensive support and care for 80 seniors who are unable to support themselves. The cost will cover expenses related to housing, medical services, food, and other needs such as clothes and personal supplies. 

Zakat or Sadaqah?

The main difference between Zakat and Sadaqah is that Zakat is an obligatory charity, while Sadaqah is a voluntary one. Both are important, and we are encouraged to give generously to those in need. When you donate, make your intention for either Zakat or Sadaqah. In both cases, 100% of the donations collected here will go towards the project! Our Shari'a Council has confirmed this project as Zakat eligible by ensuring the ownership is passed on to a leader in the community, in which all residents have an immense need.

What is Sadaqah Jariyah?

In Arabic, the word sadaqah translates to “charity," while jariyah translates to “flowing.” So Sadaqah Jariyah literally means flowing charity! It is a continuous form of giving that provides for people long after we have gone to the Hereafter, providing us with never-ending rewards for our deeds.
