I pray this message is read in good health and Imaan.

Our beloved father/ Grandfather Haji Mohammed Abdul Gofur (May Allah have mercy on him) was an extremely charitable man who endlessly gave to those in need. SubahanAllah, his love for orphans and providing for them in whatever way he could, roots back to his childhood of being an orpan himself, hence his heart remained heavily inclined to their wellbeing.

Upon his departure from this Dunya, we wish to continue this charitable deed by donating a Borehole to provide pure, clean water to the less fortunate. For every drop of water that is provided will be a great reward for him as well as his doners.

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah (RA) reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (S.A.W), said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”

What are we doing..?

A borehole is either an electric or solar powered mechanism which involves drilling deep into the ground to access clean water. The water is then powered up and a tap system is created. The advantages of a borehole make it more sustainable, easily maintained and accessible to all.

A Borehole Consists Of:

• Solar panel/Electric setup

• A tap

• Large water tank and stand

• Personalised plaque with your name

It is important for public health that available water- whether it is used for drinking, domestic use or food production- is safe. It has been proven that improved water supply and sanitation can boost countries economic growth and result in poverty reduction. Every person has the right to safe, continuous and physically accessible water for personal and domestic use.
