Support Salam Charity in making this one of the biggest Muslim Charity Runs to date, building on a decade of success! Set in Victoria Park, known for its rich heritage, sports facilities, walkways, and serene lake, this event promises to be both inspiring and impactful.

On Sunday 24th October 2024, Salam Charity will be taking part in the yearly 5KM run with the hope of transforming the lives of mothers and babies in Gaza.

In Gaza, an estimated 50,000 women are currently pregnant, and at least 180 give birth every day. With projections showing that 5,500 women will welcome new life in the coming month, the demand for maternal healthcare is critical. Evacuated from their homes and often ripped apart from their families, many are struggling to feed their babies and themselves. Tragically, 95% of pregnant and breastfeeding women face acute malnutrition, jeopardising their health and the wellbeing of their babies.

The condition of mothers and babies in Gaza is beyond imaginable. Salam Charity needs your help to provide essential medical care, nutritional support, and resources for these mothers and their infants. Your contribution can make a real difference in ensuring that every mother receives the care she deserves and that every baby has a healthy start to life.

This project provides urgent care to mothers and babies. 
We are purchasing mother & baby kits (nappies, formula milk, sanitary pads, razors, towels, moisturiser and more) to provide mothers and babies with the essentials they need. Each kit costs £80 to distribute.
We will also be providing healthcare support in the form of assisting the natural birth and c-section births of mothers and babies. Each natural birth costs £125 and a c-section costs £400.
