We come to you with heavy hearts and a humble plea for help. A dear brother, Hamid Shabuddin, who had recently migrated with his family from South Africa in search of safety and a better future, has tragically passed away in a car accident while on his way to work for a night shift. He did not own a car, and was carpooling with a coworker to provide for his family.

The family, a mother and her teenage daughter, were just beginning to rebuild their lives after a challenging start. They had recently obtained their working permit, giving them hope for a brighter future. Now, in the blink of an eye, they are left without their sole provider, facing a mountain of grief and uncertainty.

With no immediate family in the United States and no male relatives to support them, the mother and daughter are in urgent need of assistance. They are already facing so much hardship as new immigrants, only to encounter this devastating loss.

We are asking for your kind support to help cover the funeral expenses of our departed brother and to ensure that his wife and daughter have the means to continue their lives during this difficult time. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reminded us that "Whoever relieves a believer's distress in this world, Allah will relieve his distress on the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih Muslim).

We have an opportunity to come together as a community to fulfill our duty of assistance and compassion. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help them meet the funeral expenses and their basic needs—shelter, food, and stability—during this unbearable trial.
