Adnan Syed finally sees freedom!

Today over 23 years of incarceration later,  Adnan Syed was freed after the State's Attorney of Baltimore asked the court to throw out his conviction and order his release.

Adnan's conviction case was given international attention through the 2014 Podcast  "Serial", and covered in extensive detail in the podcast “Undisclosed” and the NY Times Bestselling book “Adnan's Story”.  In 2019, HBO launched a four-part documentary called “The Case Against Adnan Syed”, based on the on the cases evolution since the “Serial” podcast. 

Arrested in 1999 at the age of 17, Adnan has always maintained his innocence through decades of appeals. The now 41 year old is finally reunited with his loved ones outside bars, but now faces the uphill battle many exonerees do of re-entering society and getting back on their feet.
