The Perpetual Guidance Scholarship is a 501(c )(3) non-profit organization that aims to provide financial relief and mentoring to help students afford college and succeed in their careers

The price to attend college has continuously increased year after year making it ever difficult to afford. When you consider tuition, housing, books, parking, transportation, food - the price can range anywhere between $20,000-$200,000! In 2020 the founders overheard a conversation a freshman college student was having about considering dropping out. Reflecting back on how formative their first year of college was the founders(recent college graduates themselves) came together to pool in some money to cover 1 class for the student-that way to wouldn’t have to take a complete hiatus from their undergraduate coursework.

We’d like to help as many students as we can not only afford to go to college, but to see them strive and succeed in their academic and professional careers.

How do we do that? 1) We keep our application free of as many restrictions we possibly can. No GPA requirement, no requirement to be a full-time student. The application is open-ended to allow for applicants to be creative when telling us there story. We recognize that not all individuals convey their story best through an essay- we accept drawings, songs, recorded speeches, digital art, etc. 

2) We provide monthly check-ins to our recipients to help them with goal-setting, time management, resume, career fair prep, interview prep, and networking.

Our hope is we can inspire our recipients to give back to this organizations once they are able to reach a financial position to donate their time and/or money. This will help continue the cycle of supporting students in need.

To date, we have awarded about $10,000 in scholarships and we are looking to provide more every year, make a contribution today to cover a meal, a text book access, code, or a campus parking pass and consider getting involved as a mentor.
