Can you imagine a world where you have no hope of sending your children to school?

​UNESCO has ranked Pakistan as one of the most illiterate countries in the world, with approximately 24 million children out of school today. We want to change that. Since 2000, Pakistan Literacy Fund has partnered with CARE Foundation Pakistan to help build and renovate schools throughout Pakistan so that out of school children have the chance to attend school and raise themselves out of poverty. This Ramadan, we want to raise enough funds to renovate and cover the cost of running CARE 5 High School.

Nosheen Faiz graduated from CDG Girls High School, Qainchi, in 2003. During her time at CARE, she was known for her determination to make a better life for herself and worked hard to excel.

Nosheen went on to complete her B. Ed. from Ali Institute and her MBA-HR from Virtual University. Nosheen is now an Assistant Manager HR at PitCo.

Our mission is to provide students such as Nosheen with a high quality, marketable education. We want our students to be able to dream big and to have the tools and resources to achieve those dreams. 

CARE Foundation's Story

​In 1988, after a series of devastating floods in Sheikhupura,  Seema Aziz, co-founder of Bareeze, toured the region and noticed that the children in the area had no access to school. Working with the local families, CARE Foundation was born and built its first school. The students in that school were so successful that CARE Foundation began building schools throughout Pakistan. 

Soon, the  government noticed CARE's great accomplishments gave them 10 non-functioning schools to adopt. CARE renovated and staffed each school, providing each student with a high quality education which allowed them the opportunity to go to college and pursue their dreams. Currently CARE runs 886 schools with over 285,000 students.

Where the Funds will Go

All funds will go to Pakistan Literacy Fund, a US Based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This Ramadan we are raising funds for CARE 5 High School. Located in Sheikhupura, CARE 5 serves children across five neighboring villages. CARE 5 desperately needs renovations throughout the building to bring it up to CARE Foundation's current standards. Help us to provide Clean Drinking Water, an electric generator (UPS), Classroom Furniture, Science Lab Equipment and Furniture, Computer Lab Equipment, and Books and Furniture for the School Library.
