This educational initiative,' Black Champions of Islam', seeks to educate Muslim children on the contributions of Black figures to Islamic Civilization. It is a project of Chicago-based civil rights Attorney Hakeem Muhammad, who handles police brutality and criminal cases, that takes young readers on an adventure through different parts of Africa and the African-American community to learn about Black contributions to Islamic civilization. It offers glimpses into the lives of Black Muslim leaders and life lessons.

Attorney Hakeem Muhammad started this initiative after visiting an Islamic bookstore and seeing few black faces or Islamic kids' books about black history in there. He set about creating 'Black Champions of Islam'. The initiative aims to produce monthly educational materials for Muslim children to better understand the varied and influential contributions of Black figures in Islamic history. 

We are thrilled to bring this initiative to the Muslim community by February 1st, aligning with Black History Month. However, to achieve this, we need your support. Your contributions will be instrumental in making the 'Black Champions of Islam' series a reality.

What we need additional funds for: 

Hiring a child education expert to refine and ensure age-appropriate content.

Enhancing illustrations for a more captivating and enriching learning experience.

Covering other publication and book formatting expenses.

Covering marketing expenses for the educational initiative 

Timeline: We have set an ambitious goal to begin launching  'Black Champions of Islam' educational infinitive  by February 1st, celebrating Black History Month together.  We will begin our launch with the release of Shahid and the Ethopian Champions of Islam.
