Background of the ROHINGYA: A forgotten people

The uproar that rose from one corner of the world to the other over the cruel genocide of the Rohingya, who the UN sees as the most persecuted people of modern time, is no more heard.
It has been over a year since the Rohingya started streaming into Bangladesh to escape the ethnic cleansing in Myanmar and it took less than that time for the world to forget them, to make them truly nobody's children.

In 2019, Apex Primary School decided to do something about it. We set up the Apex Village, with the help of Lonely Orphans, providing food and Iftar Packs, shelter and secure homes, sanitised clean drinking water, medical equipment which is so crucial during this pandemic and education to help them succeed in the future and become self-sufficient.  

This Ramadan, the orphans and families in the Apex Village need your help  and support more than ever.  Due to Covid-19, much support has not been able to be provided.

Your donation will be split half between Apex Primary School (Ilford, UK) and Lonely Orphans (in charge of the Apex Village in Bangladesh). A small amount of your donation will be deducted for admin purposes, but Lonely Orphans have guaranteed that all four areas (shelter, water, food & medicines) will be covered by each donation. Percentages for each cause may vary depending on current needs in the respective camps. Benefactors within the Apex Village are displaced Rohingya families and orphan children. Apex Primary School will use their part of your donation for educational purposes in the UK.
