153 million. This number represents worldwide orphans without one or both parents to give them a home, safety, or love.

In addition to losing their parents, orphans face daily challenges and lack access to basic resources and support, including education and medical care. Without the proper support, they are vulnerable to poverty, sickness and the dangers of the world.

You can fill the gap in their lives, and show them they are not on their own.

The Solution

This Ramadan, join Islamic Relief Canada’s effort to protect children who are vulnerable and change their lives for the better. 

Islamic Relief is continuously striving to help and protect orphans. They work to take them out of their labour jobs and enroll them in education while helping and supporting their families along the way. To ensure the orphans’ safety, Islamic Relief builds schools, health centers, and water systems. 

Your support means that they can have a roof over their head, and food on their plates. It will send them to school with books and stationery, and provide health care, vaccinations and medicine when they get ill.

Answer The Prophet's ﷺ Call

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was the most merciful of all humanity. He encouraged us to care for the orphans, meet their needs and treat them in a merciful and kind manner. 

“Whoever takes care of an orphan, they and I will be together in Paradise like this (his index and middle fingers held close together).”  

In this blessed month of Ramadan we have such a valuable opportunity to start caring for orphans, not only to gain reward that is infinitely multiplied, but also to attain the Prophet’s beautiful promise of being together in Jannah inshaAllah!
