Hawa Masjid is a humble center of prayer, learning and refuge for the most vulnerable immigrant and refugee community in Houston. Many of these families arrive in Houston after living in camps for several years. They need a lot of support and help to adjust to living in America. For almost 200 of these families Hawa Masjid has become an essential need for them to survive and grow.
Almost 8 years of service to the community Hawa masjid has not arranged any formal fundraising event. The Community has seen their efforts and private donors have been supporting their masjid.
However, With COVID this year, it has been very difficult and the need is so great. Any amount of support will be immensely appreciated. We are in desperate need to pay building rent and Imam’s salary.
