According to a report from the civil rights organization Muslim Advocates, Muslims make up about 9% of state prisoners, though they are only about 1% of the U.S. population. Incarcerated Muslims, who are largely converts, are a quickly growing segment of the Islamic population in the U.S. and need our support. Due to their commitment to Islam, many are denied a decent meal as zabiha halal meals are not provided and they are forced to endure vegan and lacto-ovo diets. The only opportunity for them to eat a proper meal is during EID celebrations when the Department of Corrections accepts food donations from generous contributors like you.

Help us provide our fellow Muslim brothers at Danville Correctional Center with a celebratory meal for Eid al-Adha on June 16, 2024. They need to know that they are not alone in learning and celebrating their deen; we are here to support them!

• $3,000 provides Zabiha halal meat, pitas, sauce, dessert, and delivery charges for the growing Muslim population at Danville Correctional Center.
   
• The funds will be paid directly to the Eid feast caterers.
