Over 12 million children in Yemen were already in danger. Now, coronavirus threatens their lives too.

Due to the ongoing civil war and the unprecedented COVID-19 global pandemic, the need for humanitarian care in Yemen has increased exponentially. Yemen is facing a major humanitarian crisis. The devastating conflict has left children and families in urgent need of food, water and medical supplies. Currently, 1.71 million children are internally displaced. No place in Yemen is safe for children.

This project will provide Food and Health Care kits that consist of baby formula, supplements and diapers for malnourished children and children with special needs in IDP camps, in the cities of Eden and Hadhramaut. Each kit costs $35 USD and will be sufficient for at least three week's supply for one child.

The UN has declared that the ongoing war in Yemen has created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Almost 80 percentof the population —24.1 million people—required humanitarian assistance, with half on the brink of starvation.

We must act now to protect Yemen’s children from the dangers of hunger and malnutrition. Just $35 could provide life-saving food for a child for three weeks.
