A Safe Haven for Orphans and Islamic Learning

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” (Muslim)

Our Journey So Far

Two years ago, we set out on a mission to support Sheikh Emran Dawood’s vision of providing a safe home and education for orphans in Malawi. Alhamdulillah, through your generosity, we have made significant progress.

What We Have Achieved

• A Fully Functioning Boarding Madrasah – The orphanage now operates as a boarding school dedicated to both Islamic and secular education.
• Increased Care – We are now caring for 70 orphans, more than double our initial numbers.
• Quality Secular Education – Every child is enrolled in private Muslim-owned schools, ensuring they receive a high standard of education.
• Regular Meals Provided – Monthly meals are now consistently met, ensuring that no child goes hungry.
• Essential Staffing– A cook and a cleaner have been hired to maintain a healthy and clean environment for the children.

Alhamdulillah, we have now transitioned to Phase 3 of the project.
