The devastating long-term blockade on Gaza has had a crippling effect on the entire region. One of the areas that have been most badly affected is the health care services. 

A large percentage of Gaza's population is made up of children. Throughout the year many children are born with disabilities that further prevent them from living a comfortable life. Already born into what has been described as the world's largest open-air prison, these children and their parents will struggle to find and afford the necessary medical support that their children require. 

To help support these children and to give them a chance at strengthening their motor skills and improving their disabilities, Islamic Help has been providing fully sponsored physiotherapy sessions, which have had a brilliant impact on the lives of the children who utilize the service. 

As well as providing physiotherapy support, we also want to provide prosthetic limbs to those who require them. Many of the patients who are awaiting a prosthetic limb are people who have been injured during raids and bombing campaigns on Gaza. The Prosthetic limbs will go to children or adults.
