Impact of Our Work: 

Since our start-up in late 2023, we have successfully organized community events and workshops that attracted hundreds of participants, showcasing how our faith calls for responsible stewardship of the Earth. To amplify Muslim voices on climate issues in the mainstream media, we launched our online editorial initiative. Led by our in-house team of media experts, we onboarded, trained, and platformed 12 young Muslim climate advocates, publishing their compelling perspectives on intersectional climate justice issues.

In total, we published over 60 stories, including analytical and opinion pieces encompassing climate justice, Islam, loss and damage and science topics. Additionally, we led a special social media campaign during the month of Ramadan where we developed important resources on mindful consumption and sustainability, which was also featured by TRT News. 

We also launched our flagship Muslim Climate Narratives project, where our in-house team of storytellers curated stories of 15 rising Muslim climate leaders from around the world in the form of video documentaries, photo essays and print stories, highlighting their innovative ideas to tackle the climate crisis.

Since end of 2023, our community has been grappling with the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. We were among the first climate organizations to begin organizing and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the occupation of Palestine. We remain steadfast in our commitment to centering climate justice advocacy on divesting from war.
