Alslam Alykom Brothers and Sisters,
American Moslem Society in Coldwater, MI (Coldwater Masjid) is a 501C(3) Non-Profit Organization.
We are building the Only Islamic Center in Southwest Michigan.

Our goal is to finish the exterior framing and erect the dense glass for the whole building so we can continue working inside during the wintertime insha Allah.

Our Masjid was established in 1980 in a small house, in 2007, we bought a church that was located right in front of our Masjid.  
Our community kept growing and we didn't have enough space in our current center "the church building we purchased in 2007), we have around 230 students in our weekend school, and we also have a daily school for Quran Memorization.
Some of our community members are having to pray outside during Friday prayers and we are having to rent a hall for Eid prayers.  We modified the basement enough to make it somewhat classrooms for our kids.

We have started the construction of the new building (Masjid, School, Gym “multi-purpose hall”) in Dec. 2021.  We are around 50% done insha Allah.
