Rochdale Community Mosque was founded in 2003 to serve the diverse Muslim community, impart Islamic knowledge to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike and similarly, take part in educational, community and social projects.

At RCM we are non-sectarian, and committed to catering for both brothers and sisters (which was a first for Rochdale!).

All of our activities are in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic tradition.

For many years we have struggled with no car park, but now after nearly a year of negotiations we are in the process of purchasing the car park behind our Masjid. However, this comes at a cost of £29,000 which we need to raise urgently.

Please donate generously, the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire”
(Sunan at-Tirmidhi).

He also said that Allah offers relief on the Day of Judgement for those who give sadaqah, “The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity.”
(Sunan at-Tirmidhi).

Similarly, one of the luminaries from the past, Khalid bin Ma'dan said, “If Allah opens up a door of goodness for you then hasten to it, as you don't know when it will be closed.” And Sufyan ath-Thawri said, “When you intend to do something related to the hereafter then roll up your sleeves and hasten in doing it before the devil strives to prevent you.”
