UPDATE: Following your tremendous support over the last year we have now completed the purchase of our new Masjid building (a former church!) - Alhumdulilah! We are now in the process of urgently getting funds together to renovate and refurbish this building before we can open the new Masjid to our community. We are working to very tight timeframes… before we will be evicted from our current temporary premises. 

URGENT APPEAL: HELP US BUILD MASJID AL-FALAH IN WEST DRAYTON

The Al-Falah Centre has been a pillar of support for our local community since 2009, offering prayer facilities for both brothers and sisters, as well as essential Islamic Education classes for our children. Unfortunately, we are faced with a significant challenge as we are being evicted from our current premises, an old manufacturing unit on St Stephens Road in West Drayton, by our landlord, who intends to develop apartments on the site.

With rising rents in the area, we find ourselves at a critical juncture where we must secure a permanent freehold site for the Al-Falah Centre to ensure its sustainability. Owning a permanent site will not only safeguard our current services but also empower us to expand our community initiatives, such as offering an Islamic funeral service and a Nikkah service, Insha'Allah.

We have identified a promising location in the heart of West Drayton, on the High Street. This former Church offers almost double the capacity of our current site and comes with the added benefit of a nearby large car park. Securing this Masjid is crucial for our community's future, but we cannot achieve this without your support. 

Alhumdulilah, on 22 July 2024 we have completed the purchase of this building. However, we now face a pressing deadline to complete the renovation works. The total cost of the renovations amounts to approximately £500,000. With the grace of Allah and the generous support of all those involved in this project, we have currently raised over £240,000 but we are still approximately £260,000 short of our target to complete the renovations.

We are facing significant pressure to raise the remaining funds by 31 March 2025. 

Therefore, we are earnestly reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to continue supporting this crucial project for our community. Your support can manifest in various ways, including:

• Making du'a for the successful completion of the purchase and conversion of the new site before we are evicted from our current premises.
• Donating to help us reach our target, donations can be made via our LaunchGood page by clicking the “Support” button. Secure your sadakah jariyah through buying a personalised tile that will be displayed in our Badr 313 Donors feature wall in our new Masjid or even sponsor a musallah in the new Masjid.
• Spreading the word about this cause to your family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who may be in a position to support us.
