Hello and Salaam Dear Community Members,

Unfortunately, the federal magistrate judge denied bail for Ali Danial Hemani. 

The judge found Ali to be a flight risk, even though up until his arrest he had maintained steady employment, had no prior criminal history, lived with his parents, received dozens of letters of support showing a strong connection to his local community, and was willing to turn over his passports. 

The family will be hiring a private attorney to file an appeal and continue with the trial process. They need help with legal expenses. Criminal defense representation can run upwards of $100K, so any amount helps. All funds will go directly to the account of Hemani’s parents.

While we appreciate any and all financial help, please also remember to keep our dear and loving friend Ali Danial Hemani in your prayers during this blessed month of Ramadan and beyond.
