In the memory of our beloved Nadia Kassa, we come together to honor her life by continuing the legacy of kindness and compassion she so beautifully embodied. Nadia touched the hearts of many and made a difference in countless lives. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the impact she had on our world.

Nadia's passion for helping others knew no bounds. Her commitment to charitable causes illuminated her path and inspired those around her. Even in her absence, Nadia's spirit continues to shine brightly as we carry forward the causes she held dear.

In Islam, we believe all the deeds of a human come to a full stop upon departing this world besides three. The Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions, and all those who follow him until the last day) said "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial; or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (the deceased)." [Sahih Muslim].

One way we're doing this is by constructing a well in her name, symbolizing her commitment to providing life-giving resources to communities in need. By building a water well and raising donations for orphans, bithinillah, we aim to create a Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity) that will benefit Nadia even in her grave, insha'Allah (God Willing), alongside every person who donates. This initiative honors Nadia's dedication to giving by supporting causes close to her heart. Additionally, we're carrying on her mission to assist orphans and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Tigray. Nadia recognized the significance of extending compassion to those who need it most.

Nadia's impactful journey encompassed various roles that showcased her dedication and skills. She played a vital role in public relations and communications at both OMNA and Waela, contributing to their outreach and engagement efforts. Nadia's commitment extended to her local community involvement as well. She served as the Secretary for TPN-PNW, highlighting her organizational prowess. Additionally, her passion for youth empowerment led her to become a Youth Collaborator for Al-Negashi and the Tigray Community Center of Seattle. She also helped lead many protests and sit ins to bring awareness to the ongoing genocide in Tigray. Nadia's versatile contributions have left an indelible mark on diverse spheres, embodying the spirit of service and engagement.

As we gather to remember Nadia, let's stand united in making a difference. Your contribution to this memorial fund not only celebrates her memory but also empowers us to carry on her legacy of love and service.
