INTRODUCTION
Why Bosnia?
Bosnia is a muslim country in Eastern Europe which had been deeply affected by war in the 90s. The aftermaths of the war are sparking a large portion of the population living in severe poverty. With large household dependents, families are often brought up in a deprived social and economic environment.
Communities in Bosnia generally obtain their Islamic education until the age of 12, and their times are often spent on menial jobs. Their lifestyle also has been influenced by western culture from their neighbouring European countries.
Therefore, as students that are living close to Bosnia, we feel a sense of responsibility and duty towards them in need. We want to take the opportunity within our capacity and means to provide help especially in terms of financial donations with some degree of focus in the clothing and equipment for the facilities within our scope. In addition, we hope to gain some experience and to promote awareness and empathy amongst Malaysian students living abroad through this mission.
In collaboration with Muslim Care Malaysia, we, Malaysian students from Platform Siswa Islam Malaysia (PRISM) and Muslim Care Europe (MCE) aim to provide help and support for the local Bosnian community by collecting donations from the muslim community around the globe and channeling them to the certified local welfare associations mentioned below.
OUR MISSIONS
Among our key missions in the program are:
Providing basic necessities and financial assistance to families in need in Sarajevo and Sebrenica.
Enhancing learning facilities for children in the 'House of Joy' kindergarten located in Sarajevo.
Strengthening ties with the community members and volunteers through cooperation along the project.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Among the objectives of our mission are:
As an educational platform for students in Europe, in learning the principles of management and public relations through interactions with other volunteers and the Islamic organizations around their place of residence.
Enhancing the relationship and building a sense of brotherhood amongst Malaysian students in Europe. Also, nurturing the sense of care, responsibility and empathy in the character of every individual involved.
Promoting the spirit and opportunity of da'wah to other students around the Europe, through this voluntary participation.

2. Let’s bring back the smile 2.0 project for Chechnya refugees in Warsaw, Poland.
Description
The endless conflict in Chechnya caused the Chechen migration to Poland. Due to the lack of accommodation in refugee camp, most of them chose to search for work outside of the camp. Most of these refugees currently live in disadvantaged situations, with financial difficulties preventing them from acquiring daily necessities. This program aimed to help assist war-displaced Chechen/other refugees requiring financial assistance, particularly to provide basic needs such as winter clothes and food packs and improve the condition of the Islamic center in Skalnicowa.
3. IGNITERS : The PRISMCE Movement at Pulau Banggi, Sabah Malaysia.
Description
The people on Pulau Banggi are living in poverty, with almost no access to clean water, electricity and limited food supply. Despite the stark contrast to whatever little we have, the plight of this community is still unheard. IGNITERS aimed to bring changes to this community, in hopes of making their lives better by providing the community with many aids such as clean food supplies, gifts and also free simple basic hygiene for the children on the Island.

Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter..." (Muslim)

For your information, due to safety and health risk, the volunteers will not be able to go to Bosnia. This is after considering many factors, including the statement by WHO regarding COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the project is still running and we still collect donations for our brothers and sisters at Bosnia. The donations will be given to them through bank transfer, and not by our hand 🖐.
