Assalamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

With the grace of Allah, Hounslow Muslim Centre (HMC) has been a shining light in our community since its inception during Ramadan 2019. However, our growth has outpaced our current capacity, necessitating immediate action.

We have been presented with a golden opportunity to expand our Masjid by purchasing the building adjacent to our existing prayer hall. This expansion will increase our capacity by a third, providing an additional 200 spaces for worshippers to pray.

Insha’Allah, this expansion will not only address our immediate space constraints but also allow us to refurbish all three buildings into one large prayer hall capable of accommodating over 650 worshippers. Additionally, we aim to construct a multi-use mezzanine floor to further facilitate prayers and establish a dedicated teaching center for our sisters and youth.

The refurbishment plans include addressing critical issues such as poor temperature control, asbestos, roofing, and structural concerns in the existing warehouse. Furthermore, a new men’s ablution facility will be built, providing sheltered access to shoe racks and the prayer hall.

This opportunity is rare, and we must seize it together to secure the future of our Masjid. Remember the words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): “Whosoever shares in building a masjid for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird’s nest, Allah will build for them a house in Paradise.”
