Frenford Youth Club is teaming up with Al Noor Youth Club to raise funds for much needed work with young people in a very turbulent time where so many youth clubs have closed

Frenford is one of the largest not for profit charity youth clubs in the country operating from 9am - 10pm 7 days a week. An all inclusive youth club with over 5000 young people attending annually with activities and opportunities ranging from sports, residentials, mentoring, youth work, training, employability, counselling, foodbank and most recently our detached team work on the streets of Redbridge. Further more Frenford is a place that young people call a home away from home.

Join us for the Annual Boat Race, a flagship event organised by the Al-Noor Foundation since its inception in the summer of 2018. This much-anticipated event returns on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at Fairlop Waters in the London Borough of Redbridge.

Open to schools, faith groups, charities, and corporate organisations, the Boat Race is a unique opportunity to unite our diverse community for a day of excitement, camaraderie, and charitable giving. Whether you're an individual, a family, or an organisation, you can make a difference by raising funds for causes close to your heart while enjoying the thrill of Dragon Boat racing.

Boat racing has long been a cherished tradition in British culture, symbolising teamwork, determination, and unity. Our event showcases the vibrant spirit of our community while celebrating the growing popularity of Dragon Boat racing, a tradition that originated in Southern China’s Guangdong Province.

17 Riders, 20 Fundraisers: While each boat can carry up to 17 paddlers at a time, teams will include 20 fundraisers, allowing for substitutions and shared participation. Everyone plays a vital role, whether paddling or cheering from the sidelines!
