The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) once revealed that only 20% of Muslim children in the UK attend evening madrasas to learn about their faith. This statistic leaves us deeply concerned about the remaining 80%.

We firmly believe that evening madrasas play a vital role in nurturing the identity of Muslims living in the UK. These institutions serve as pillars of support, providing strength and guidance in navigating the complexities of modern life while staying true to one's faith. Without access to such education, the risk of losing one's faith becomes alarmingly high.

A study conducted by a university in America, spanning across the USA, UK, and Australia, highlighted that one in five children with Muslim parents may not follow the same religion, potentially losing their Emaan.

In response to this pressing need, the Motala Foundation opened its doors in 2019 with a singular ambition: to reach young Muslims across the UK who lack access to local mosques or madrasas. Our mission is clear—to provide these children with the opportunity to study their faith comprehensively.

At Motala Foundation, we cover essential teachings such as Quranic recitation, daily duas, and provide a balanced and thorough Islamic education. Our aim is to empower these young individuals to confidently navigate their lives as British Muslims.

Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah, we have reached children across the UK—from the northern reaches of Scotland to the coastal town of Portsmouth, and every major city in between.
