Let’s Help The Unfortunates in Nepal
Nepal, ranked among the world's most impoverished nations, faces the pressing challenge of widespread hunger. Despite being free from conflict or war, the United Nations (UN) reports that a staggering 64.7% of the Nepalese population lives below the poverty line.
The 2022 Global Hunger Index (GHI) places Nepal at the 81st position out of 121 countries, with a score of 19.1. This score indicates that the country hovers between moderate and severe levels of hunger, emphasizing the urgency of addressing this issue.
Nepalese in “Terai” region
The 'Terai' region, situated in the southern part of Nepal and considered the nation's breadbasket, is particularly affected. Traditionally a provider of surplus grain and rice, the residents of this flatland now find themselves compelled to purchase food for their own sustenance.
Additionally, a high prevalence of acute malnutrition has been identified in the Terai region, with Udayapur and Saptari districts reporting rates well above the national average, particularly affecting children under five years of age.

Who is Iltizam Relief Society?
Iltizam Relief Society formerly known as Al-I'tisam Relief Program Association was registered in Malaysia in April 2013. Our headquarters are in the Malaysian state of Selangor.
Since the beginning of our organization, we have been involved in relief causes, including disaster response. At the moment, we are working on projects in 11 countries, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India (including Kashmir), Nepal, and Pakistan, to continuously deliver food aid to the hungry, provide skills training for the underprivileged, build facilities to help the marginalized obtain clean and safe water, build schools, and many other things.
We believe that by assisting the marginalized and poor, as well as being present on the ground and interacting with these people, we can understand, share, and alleviate their suffering, one family at a time.

Breaking Barriers for Nepalese Women – Incubation Center Launch
Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh brothers and sisters,
We are excited to share news about our Incubation Center project in Nepal! With your support, we can empower Nepalese women to rise out of poverty.
This initiative focuses on providing underprivileged women with opportunities to earn a stable income, offering them an alternative to the physically demanding work in paddy fields.
The project includes seven participants, all from poverty stricken backgrounds, including single mothers who have graduated from Iltizam’s sewing classes. The Incubation Center will enable them to refine their skills and develop their business knowledge, giving them a real chance to build better futures.
Last Round of Sadaqah Ramadan Project in Nepal

As we are approaching the last days of Ramadan,our Ramadan project gains momentum through our latest distribution of food packs to the recent fire victims in Sunsari and Sarlahi districts. Among these victims are numerous Muslim families already grappling with poverty, compounded further by the devastation of the fire.

Sadaqah Ramadan Nepal continues for it's 4th week with food pack distribution to the muslim community in Dhading district. This district located at the mountain range of Himalaya.
The nature of the location deprived the community from the outside world, especially humanitarian aid. Nevertheless, Iltizam's partner in Nepal are hard at work to send the aid to the needy.

Ramadan Distribution in the Mountains of Nepal

Sadaqah Ramadan in Nepal continue, with our latest food distribution taking place in the mountainous Dhading district. We prioritized this area due to the community's isolation from the rest of Nepal and little outside aid reached them.
