إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
To God we belong and surely to Him we return.
On the early morning of Tuesday, October 13th, the Knoxville Community lost a bright young man in a single-car accident. Elyazid Belharouak was a beloved son, brother, student, and friend of many youth in Knoxville. Elyazid, 18, and his good friend, 17, were both hospitalized after the accident. The friend endured serious injuries; Elyazid returned to his Lord.
Elyazid was a Farragut High School senior with a dream of attending MTSU next fall, hoping to become a pilot in the future and also to start his own business. Elyazid was an extremely gifted, bright young man who loved life and those around him. He was a very optimistic individual and constantly looked out for those around him. He had a passion for traveling and exploring the unknown. In his free time, Elyazid loved reading philosophy, fishing with friends, exploring cars and fashion, and spending time with his beautiful family. He is survived by his mother Khadija and his father Dr. Ilias, as well as his sister Dalal who is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee and his younger brother Adam who is a freshman at Farragut High School.
While the family deeply appreciates the countless helping hands in the Knoxville community and the love that they’ve received, they have requested that all donations go towards helping the homeless. Elyazid had a loving passion for helping those in need. His sister has told countless stories of their family vacations when he would always give what he had to the homeless population in the area.
All donations will go to the family who will distribute them to the homeless population in their hometown in Morocco. Many of the homeless are in need of food and medicine as the winter is approaching. Your donation will serve as a charity for Elyazid, God willing and help better the future of our Moroccan brothers and sisters who are in need of many necessities we take for granted.
We pray that God has mercy on Elyazid and his family during this difficult time. We pray that He elevates Elyazid and reunites him with his loved ones in the next life. We pray that Elyazid’s beautiful spirit continues to thrive through his loved ones. We pray that Elyazid’s light will shine through the lives of these men and women who will be fed and taken care of graciously by his famly.
Please donate generously and keep Elyazid and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. May God reward you.
