In the memory of the late Gous Uddin and with your support the objective is to free Allahs house from some of its debt

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ

As some of you already know that Mohammed Gous Uddin, returned to his lord on the 7th February 2021.

Indeed, we belong to Allah and to him is our eternal return.

His Legacy

He has left behind his grieving wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and nephews & nieces, all of whom will miss him dearly and wait for the fulfilment of Allah’s promise to unite with him again in paradise. Allah SWT said “And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything” - [at-Toor 52:21]

For those that knew the late Mohammed Gous Uddin will profess to his attachment to the local masjid and his commitment to prayer in congregation. He was one of the founders of the masjid and regularly made the call (Azan) for salah. His attachment to the masjid and his perseverance to prayer on time was evident in the manner of his death. He was extremely unwell prior to his parting from this world but always remained alert to prayer time. He took his final breath whilst in ‘Asr salah.

Whilst the feeling of his loss is immeasurable, we all take solace from the words of Prophet Muhamad (
) when he said “Every person will be resurrected in the manner he dies.’” – Muslim.

His Greatest Passion, Alhamdulillah
One of his great passions in life was to see his local masjid, Burhan Uddin masjid, to be debt free.

Most of the masjid’s building works have been done on Qard Hasnah (good will loans) from people. However remain a debt and needs repaying. To honour his life and ensures that he continues to gain reward for this act and without diminishing any of your rewards, we would like all of his well-wishers to participate in this noble cause which he was unable to complete.

The Prophet (
) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” – Bukhari. The commitment is to raise £20,000 towards freeing the masjid from debt and we strongly feel that we can achieve this with all your support.

We ask Allah SWT to forgive Mohammed Gous Uddin and elevate his station among those who are guided and Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him. O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.
