The Interactive Ilm Institute, known as the i3 Institute, aims to build community leaders and inspire Islamic preachers within the future Muslim generations in the West. With 16 classes in 12 different cities all across the GTA during the 2018-2019 year and 300 enrolled students, it is one of the fastest growing Islamic institutes in Canada. The i3 Institute partners with mosques, Islamic Centres, and university Muslim Student Associations' to make this possible.

Students learn Islamic courses part-time and free of charge through a balanced curriculum, then implement this knowledge in community initiatives including a student-led magazine, dawah projects, a support group for new Muslims, and more! The i3 Institute is the future of Islamic education in the Western world.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

In order to continue the important work that i3 is doing for the Muslim community, the i3 Institute needs funding for operational costs. Our respected shuyookh, teachers, and teaching assistants volunteer their time to this initiative for the sake of Allah (SWT), but funding is required for resources including (but not limited to):

• ​Room rentals for classes, conferences, and events 
• Teaching materials, including projectors and textbooks 
• Food and refreshments for community events and lectures 
• Printed Marketing Material
• Digital Media and Website

The long-term dream of the i3 Institute is to purchase a permanent space that will serve the community and increase the impact of our student leaders! The purposes of the centre:

EVENTS AND PROJECTS

Other than the Islamic studies program, here are some of the initiatives offered by the i3 Institute:

•  The i3 Institute's student-led magazine, called the Inspired Minds Magazine, addresses how to be a strong and unapologetic Muslim while living in the West. Visit our website here.
• The i3 Institute hosts multiple conventions a year, in which the students themselves present beneficial Islamic reminders.
• Physical activity and spending time outside in nature should be an essential part of every Muslim's lifestyle, so the i3 Institute holds camping and hiking trips throughout the summer.
• Community lectures by our respected shuyookh are periodically held in mosques and community centres to provide Islamic solutions to social problems, address the plight of Muslims around the world, and to educate on our beautiful religion.
• The i3 Institute hosts debates and interfaith panels, during which our shuyookh challenge atheists and other non-Muslims on the tenets of their beliefs. 
• Speakers, scholars, and debaters from around the world travel to Canada to host events for the community in partnership with the i3 Institute, including dawah training workshops, presentations on science and religion, etc.
