We are seeking support to acquire a commercial space for our bookstore, Atturtuchi, located near Barcelona, Spain. This project is driven by two main goals: providing a halal source of income for my family and spreading Islamic knowledge throughout the region. The inspiration for this initiative came from the challenges I faced when searching for Arabic Islamic books. Recognizing the difficulty in finding such valuable resources, I was motivated to establish a bookstore that would make Islamic knowledge easily accessible to everyone, eliminating the hurdles I once experienced. The funds will be used to purchase a welcoming and inclusive space where anyone can visit to buy a book or spend time in a comfortable environment dedicated to learning. Our vision is for this bookstore to become a central hub for Muslims of all ages in Spain—a place where youth and adults alike can reconnect with their heritage, strengthen their Arabic language skills, and immerse themselves in the rich legacy of Islamic literature. We are especially committed to reviving the love of reading in Arabic, particularly among the younger generation, who often struggle to maintain their connection to the language. 

With a physical bookstore, we aim to become a beacon of inspiration for those seeking to draw closer to Allah through knowledge. Currently, we offer a wide variety of Islamic books, including rare and hard-to-find titles. With Allah’s permission, these resources will be available in our store, ensuring that every visitor can benefit. The name of our bookstore is Atturtuchi, and we chose this name because it’s the name of a great scholar from Tortosa, a small city located two hours from Barcelona. We saw it as the perfect name since Atturtuchi was born nearly 1,000 years ago, just two hours away from us, and we want to stay connected to the heritage of Al-Andalus, especially within our region. We found a store near our city, but we don’t have the funds to move forward. We only met the agent and spoke with him. Currently, we can receive €10,000 from the government (for unemployed individuals who want to start a business), but we still need an additional €20,000.
