Assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, 

Allah tells us that "If anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole of humanity." Al-Qur'an 5:32.  

Imagine your child, sibling or parent is sick and in need of urgent medical treatment. What would you do? Here, we can call an ambulance, see a doctor and receive treatment in an instant, usually for free. But for our brothers and sisters in Mian Channu in the Punjab region of Pakistan, accessing healthcare isn't so easy.

The regions medical professionals are being let down by aging, broken equipment that can only facilitate the most basic of care. If your family member has a severe medical emergency you would have to travel either 89km to Multan or 250km to Lahore to a trauma centre.

Many of our sick and injured brothers and sisters do not survive such a gruelling journey. Those that do find themselves isolated and alone, imagine not being able to hold your loved one's hand during a time of pain and uncertainty.  

But hope is not lost. We believe that every single person should have access to healthcare, no matter their socioeconomic status. You, me and our brothers and sisters in Mian Channu deserve life-saving treatment whenever we need it.

That is why, with the blessings of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, we have built the Jamal Memorial Trust Hospital and construction is almost complete. We won't sit by and let people suffer needlessly. 

We must raise funds for the vital medical equipment that will allow our medical professionals to save lives, beginning with live-saving dialysis machines critical for caring for those with kidney problems.
