My Story

Growing up my relationship with the Qu'ran (literal word of God to all of humanity) was limited to memorizing and reciting it with beautiful tajweed (science of recitation). I was not able to reflect upon its beauty, mercy, guidance or power due to lack of knowledge of the Arabic language. With your financial support I will be able to seek knowledge, breaking the barrier that prevents access to the Qur'an.

I have decided to put my College education on hold to fulfill an urgent mission of understanding and implementing the message of the Qu'ran into my life, with an aspiration of teaching it after meeting the required qualifications (God willing). I will be studying Classical Arabic and the linguistic miracle of the Qur'an with Bayyinah Dream in Irving, Tx under Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Ustadh Adam Jamal and others (God Willing). In order to raise funds for the Bayyinah Dream program, I am giving away custom made modest clothing (for sisters), personally sewed by me. Brothers can just donate if they wish not to receive a reward.

About Me

I am your sister in Islam, Mam Matty. I'm 18 and a sophomore in college studying chemical engineering . I love studying Qur'an, which is why I am so eager to take time out to focus on seeking guidance from it. I am also very interested in the seerah of our beloved prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). He was a walking talking Qur'an says Aisha (رضي الله عنه). Studying Qu'ran along side the life and teachings of our rasool (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a lot more powerful and complete. 

I am frequent at the Dar Al Noor Islamic Center where I volunteer as a TA helping kids learn how to read in arabic preparing them for the memorization process of the Qur'an

I recently got admitted to the Bayyinah Dream Program after taking a live test (via Skype with admissions officer), and an online test. I will lose my admission if the payment is not made on time, which is why I need your financial support.

"Dream" In depth 

The Dream Program is Bayyinah's most intensive course. It is nine months of intensive study of classical Arabic and Qur'an along with several hadith and some aspects of islamic studies. Its main purpose is to give students direct access to the Qu'ran and give them the chance to further study other fields of Islamic theology.

Ustadh Adam Jamal is the head teacher for the Bayyinah Dream program. He teaches a large percentage of the Dream curriculum, that is the technical aspects of the arabic language e.g grammar, morphology and many more. Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan who the founder of the Dream program, teaches the philosophical and historical aspects of the arabic language. Throughout the year, guest teachers like Shiekh Omar Suleiman, Shiekh Abdul Nasir Jangda and many more visit the dream campus to teach students some aspects of Islamic studies. 

The Dream curriculum is tough, which is why the Teachers Assistants for both brothers and sisters play a big role in the success of the students. 

After Dream I wish to further my studies in hadith and seerah with Qalam Institute. while I train and work hard to become one of Bayyinah institute's Access Program teachers (God willing), as a way of giving back to the larger muslim community. Following the footsteps of my mother and mother to all believers Aisha (رضي الله عنه) who was one of the best teachers/scholars of Islam.

Teaching the Qur'an is the sunnah of Allah (Glorified is He). It is also the sunnah of  our beloved prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) who said the best amongst you is the one who learns the Qu'ran and teaches it to others.

 Our clothing is an ayah of Qur'an

Oh Children of Adam, We have sent down clothes for you to cover your flaws and as an adornment. But the clothing of righteousness- that is better for you. That is from the miraculous signs of Allah so they may make an effort to remember.

This is such a beautiful ayah, i cannot do justice to it but it shows how complete and beautiful our religion is. Even our dress code is connected to being God conscious. Allah (glorified is he) says: Our clothing is a gift for us to hide our flaws and make us look beautiful. A key word in this ayah is ريشا which is translated as adornment; meaning fashionable clothes under the banner of modesty. "Reeshutaa'ir" in the arabic language means feathers of a birds. This is an allegory meaning the beauty of the bird is its feathers. Thus, Reeshan refers to beautiful/fashionable clothes with the right accessories. Allah (Glorified is He) wants us to dress modestly and nicely a.k.a Halal Fashion. Towards the end of this ayah, Allah (Glorified is He) adds "The clothing of taqwah (God consciousness)".This part of the ayah can be interpreted both literally or figuratively. Taqwah lives in the heart; meaning we should also beautify/dress our hearts with God consciousness. Also meaning that our physical clothing should represent taqwah; that is clothing that protects us from indecency or shamelessness. Allah (Gloried is He) wraps this ayah up saying " that is from the miraculous signs of Allah". (subscribe to BayyinahTV for some more AwesomeSauce)

My Gift to you

I  turned 18 not too long ago and started working to make it easier on my mom, she works so hard just so my siblings and I can live a comfortable life (please make du'a for her). Unfortunately I am not able to make enough to cover all of my Bayyinah tuition and expenses while studying in Texas. The total cost for the 9-month Dream Program is approximately  $12,500 out of which I need $10,000.

I know this Gift is for the sisters but brothers may take it for a female family member or just donate to help me out. i have a passion for designing and sewing which why I have decided to custom make you modest clothes like maxi skirts, abayas, and maxi dresses as a thank you for getting me closer to my dream.
