At Project Affinity we are working to do our part to help those who are needy and homeless in sha Allah. 

Many of us take for granted the fact that we have a place to sleep at night and a way to stay warm outside during these blustery and frigid winter months.  No organization will eliminate homelessness by themselves. Allah does not expect each of us to feed the entire world. We are only responsible for what we can do and that is what we will be judged on when the time comes to fruition. Project Affinity knows that we will not save every person, however, we can certainly try and do our best to bring a bit of warmth to someone in need.  

Its cold outside and we want our brothers and sisters to be warm. So with your help we can provide warmth for them in sha Allah. The Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him, tells us that none of us truly believe unless we love for our brother what we love for ourselves. Not just our biological brother and sister but for the entire community and world. May Allah allow all of us to love for others what we love for ourselves. 

During the time of our beloved prophet, peace be upon him, we learn about our neighbors and how we must treat them. He said that our neighbors are 40  houses in every direction. His companions saw that our prophet was so generous with neighbors. When the rulings of inheritance were coming down many of the companions thought that neighbors would get a huge share after they passed away. That did not happen, however, it shows the importance around the issue. 

The money donated will ALL go towards buying heavy winter coats and thermal under garments for as many homeless and needy as we can in sha Allah. Know that you are playing a large roll in what happens to them. None of us want a homeless person dying from cold out in the streets when we had the chance to rectify the situation. The least we can do is provide what we can to keep them warm outside this winter. Many families are on the brink losing everything and don't even have the money for a light jacket let alone a winter coat. So help us provide winter coats and thermals to as many needy as possible in sha Allah.
