As the blessed month of Ramadhan draws near, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, generosity, and solidarity. This Ramadhan, let us renew our commitment to supporting one another, Charity has a strong connection with the holy month of Ramadhan. It is a month of special blessings and mercy. Allah (SWT) chose this month to honour the revelation of the Quran.

In a hadith, the Prophet (SAW) said:

“There has come to you Ramadhan, a blessed month which Allah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it, there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.” [Sunan an-Nasa'i 2106]

The Messenger of Allah (SWT) said: "(O people!) Save yourselves from the Fire even if it is with half a date (given in charity), and if you cannot find that, then (save yourselves by saying) a good word’. [Sahih al-Bukhari 6540, Sahih Muslim 1016]

KICC endeavours to raise £30,000 to cover Full Ramadhan related costs (£1,000 per day), so that with your support, we can cover expenses relating to following Ramadhan activities:

• Huffaz contributions
• Tharaweeh prayer hall maintenance costs
• Iftar meals over the weekends
• Other Ramadhan supplies, water, and prayer materials
   

Together, we can embody the spirit of Ramadhan by uplifting those around us and spreading blessings throughout our community. May our collective efforts bring blessings and ease to those in need during this special time.

Abu Huraira reported Prophet (SAW) said:

“Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.” [Sahih Muslim 2588]

Every donation, no matter the size, is a meaningful contribution to our collective efforts. Let us come together as one community to make this Ramadhan a truly blessed and inclusive experience for all.
