This campaign will collect all funds raised by May 26, 2020 at 6:45 PM EDT
Medical Supplies Distribution:
We are collaborating with Youth For Change and Development (YFCD) and United Mission for Relief and Development (UMR) to donate essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies to hospitals across Sudan.
Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will be allocated to the #SudanaSafe initiative; to continue on-going efforts to distribute food supplies to families, as well as raise awareness on Covid-19 across Sudan.
“And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, [saying], ‘If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity, and we will surely be among the righteous.’” (9:75)
What is Layali Ramadan?
Layali Ramadan is a global online event series by the Sudanese Diaspora Network. As well as this fundraiser, we are hosting daily reminders, workshops, Quran recitations and Tafseer across our social media platforms to bring a sense of unity during these uncertain times.
The Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said: “The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity”. Hadith Al-Tirmidhi, no. 604.
