The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a Masjid in which the name of Allah is mentioned, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."

​Lethbridge Muslim Association's Donation Appeal

The Lethbridge Muslim Association has taken on a project of buying a community centre to serve as a Masjid for many years to come InShaAllah.

So far, we have managed to secure $525,000 CAD from our local community and surrounding cities as well as personal relationships. 

We have worked extremely hard to secure this amount and we have now come to a standstill.

We are now requesting the Ummah to help us secure the remaining amount of $50,000 CAD and at the same time build yourselves houses in Jannah and secure a Sadaqah Jaariyah (ceaseless charity) for yourselves. 

The Story

The Lethbridge Islamic Center (pictured above) has been serving the Muslim community of southern Alberta since 1993. It accommodates approximately 100-120 people. The growth of the Muslim population in our city and surrounding cities since the 90’s has come to an extent where we have outgrown the current Masjid. The city now has a Muslim population of approximately 800 people including 40 Syrian families and it is continuously growing.

PHASE ONE: Secure Building Price: 575, 000 CAD 

PHASE TWO: Secure Startup Renovations Costs: 100, 000 CAD

FUNDS COLLECTED SO FAR: 525, 000 CAD 

FUNDS NEEDED TO COMPLETE PHASE ONE: 50, 000 CAD

Phase Two will begin after Phase One has been completed.​
