Our Mission at the Lighthouse Scholarship Foundation is to remove barriers for future generations of Muslim leaders, so we can ensure that Islamic knowledge, values, and practice continue to flourish!

The Lighthouse Scholarship Foundation (LSF) was founded to ensure that financial hardship does not hinder students who seek to attain an education in a safe Islamic environment. The creation of LSF Inc. is to enable the students, faculty, and staff of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds to pursue their educational journey through two Islamic scholastic institutions.LSF recognizes the incredible importance for Muslims to have access to a competitive education without sacrificing religious knowledge or being in a toxic environment. We provide financial support in the form of scholarships, grants, and bursaries. With assistance from our donors, LSF can aid in lifting these financial burdens, which helps ensure the success of our awardees. Our goal is to illuminate the path of our future leaders by removing financial barriers that impede their access to education, as they strive to become well-rounded Islamic Scholars.

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“When a person dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: continuing charity, knowledge that others benefited from, and a righteous son who supplicates for him.”  — Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1376

                                                                        Who We Serve & Our Success Stories

The Lighthouse Scholarship Foundation serves to remove financial barriers from students of Noor Academy and IQOU Theological College, in their pursuit to ensure the next generation of Muslims are well educated Islamically and secularly. Respectively, these institutions confer college-level degrees, and kindergarten through 12th grade diplomas. While Noor Academy teaches both secular and Islamic classes, both schools are entirely Muslim-run, and provide a comprehensive Islamic education including courses such as; the Science of Holy Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic History, Arabic, Hifz, and other Islamic sciences.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 

“Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.”

                                                                   Humble Beginnings to Remarkable Successes

Starting with very humble beginnings, in our first two years as a foundation LSF has been blessed to aid 50 students from both institutions with over $14,000.00. Without our help, students like Ms Muqit would not have been able to graduate with her Certificate of Islamic Studies from IQOU Theological College.

Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ  said,
