Illuminate the Dome of the Rock Masjid!
This year, Muslim Hands has been blessed with another opportunity to preserve the sacred Masjid Al-Aqsa by illuminating the Dome of the Rock Masjid!
Located at the heart of the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa, it is believed to be the exact place where the Prophet (saw) was ascended into the heavens. SubhanAllah, he (saw) not only met prophets and angels (as) on this journey, he actually met Allah, our Lord and Creator!
Preserve the history of this sacred masjid
We are working closely with our partners in Jerusalem to preserve the history of this sacred masjid. The lighting we are installing will benefit worshippers for generations to come, in sha’ Allah. The chance to light a lamp in Al-Aqsa may not be available again in your lifetime.
The reward of a thousand prayers
The Prophet (saw) was well-aware that many from his ummah would be unable to pray in Masjid Al-Aqsa. That’s why he promised that lighting the lamps of Al-Aqsa carries the same reward as praying in the Blessed Masjid – the reward of a thousand prayers.
A Sadaqah Jariyah opportunity
We hope you and your loved ones will take advantage of this incredible opportunity. You can give this beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of yourself or a loved one, and reap the rewards of illuminating the Dome of the Rock for years to come, in sha’ Allah!
40 Hadiths about al-Aqsa
Alhamdulillah, we are delighted to share our NEW digital hadith collection about Masjid Al-Aqsa and its people!
It includes over 40 hadith about the history of Masjid Al-Aqsa, its divine significance, its role on the Day of Judgement, and the blessed nature of the people of Shaam. The hadith are in both Arabic and English, and we’ve also included commentary in the footnotes.
Sign up to our newsletter and you can download the digital hadith collection for FREE on our website!
Learn more about our previous work in al-Aqsa
Ma sha’ Allah, we have been preserving the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa for over a decade. Since 2008, we have built new wudu areas, repaired paving stones, illuminated various areas of this site, and much more! (Check out our digital newsletter and blog below for more details).

Honour The Best Day Of Arafah By Giving The Best Charity To The Best People
Assalamu alaikum Dear Supporter,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your beautiful donations and supporting our work at Masjid Al-Aqsa since 2008, serving the people of Shaam.
The Prophet (saw) makes mention of how blessed the people of Shaam are when he (saw) said: ‘O Allah, bless us in our Shaam! O Allah, bless us in our Yemen!’ [Tirmidhi]
We invite you again to continue to serve these blessed people on a day like no other, the day of Arafah, through our mega water project in Yemen. You have the chance to give the BEST charity to the BEST people on the BEST day of the entire Islamic year – and on a Friday, the best day of the week!
The Prophet (saw) said of ‘Arafah, ‘The sun does not rise or set upon a day that is more virtuous than it’. [Tirmidhi]
Did you know that, when the Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, ‘What is the best charity?’ he replied, ‘(Providing) water’. [Abu Dawud]
And did you know that he (saw) praised the people of Yemen immensely, saying, ‘The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni, and I am Yemeni’. [Ahmad]
Today, the country suffers from severe water shortages, and it is estimated that over 17 million Yemenis don’t have access to safe water. But for just $1.25, you can provide water for life to a person in Yemen – a truly incredible Sadaqah Jariyah!
Your donations have already made a huge impact in Aden, where our first mega water project is now benefiting 1.7 million people. But we want to do more for the families of Yemen and we want you to join us!
Can you help our team rehabilitate the water infrastructure in Ma’rib, providing water to a further 1.2 million people?
Don’t miss out on this chance. As the Ummah comes together through the pilgrimage of Hajj, let us draw together to support our brothers and sisters in Yemen.

Wishing you and your family Eid Mubarak!

Qibali Masjid in Al-Aqsa Has Been Fully Lit By You - But We Need You Again!
Allah (swt) says, 'Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient'. [The Noble Qur'an, 2:153]
Alhamdulillah, after a difficult year of delays due to the volatile situation on the ground, we are delighted to announce that the final phase of the Qibali Masjid lighting project is now completed! The building marks the place where the Prophet (saw) led the prophets (as) in prayer during the miraculous Night Journey and Ascension and now that the whole 30-year-old lighting has been replaced by a brand-new state-of-the-art system, its interior has been completely transformed!
We want to thank each and every one of you who made this possible. May Allah accept it from you and ensure that it is a Sadqah Jariyah that you will reap the rewards of for many years to come. Amin.

This Ramadan, we would like to invite you to once again be a part of preserving the Sacred Sanctuary of Masjid Al-Aqsa, this time investing in a share of our Dome of the Rock lighting project. Located at the heart of the complex, this golden-domed icon of Al-Aqsa is believed to be the exact place where the Prophet (saw) was ascended into the heavens on Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj, subhanAllah. During busy periods, such as Ramadan the Dome of the Rock is also exclusively used as a prayer area by our sisters.
The current lights are completely outdated and pose a fire risk to worshippers. As with the Qibali Masjid, we will be funding a replacement of the entire lighting system, but we only have 350 £500 shares remaining for phase one, which is lighting up the main prayer hall. For every donation of £250 upwards, you will be gifted a FREE bottle of oil directly from the blessed olive trees in the compound of Masjid Al-Aqsa. Please give what you can and share this opportunity with your friends and family:

The Prophet (saw) instructed us:
‘If one of us cannot visit it (Al-Aqsa), what should we do?’ He (saw) said, ‘Then he should make a gift of some oil to be lit therein [in its lamps]. For indeed the one who gifts this to it will be like the one who has prayed therein’ [Ahmad].
Light the Dome of the Rock Masjid Main Prayer Hall - Limited Shares Remaining!
Assalamu’Alaikum,
From everyone at Muslim Hands, thank you for your kind support towards illuminating Masjid al Aqsa!
You have been supporting our work at Masjid Al-Aqsa since 2008! Your generosity has helped us raise millions allowing worshippers to pray with ease all year round.
Today you have another chance to increase your rewards by helping us complete phase one of our Dome of the Rock lighting project, for the main prayer hall and ceiling. This new lighting system will completely replace the existing lighting system which is out-dated and poses a safety risk for worshippers. During busy periods such as Ramadan, the Dome of the Rock is also exclusively used as a prayer area by our sisters.
We only have 453 £500 shares remaining, so donate today to be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Every £250 donation will receive a FREE bottle of oil - click the link below on how to claim this beautiful gift. Please do give what you can and share this opportunity with your friends and family:

Thank you for your incredible support
As'salaamu alaykum
We've been completely blown away by the support we've received from donors just like you, who have chosen to illuminate the blessed Dome of the Rock.
So far, 1453 of 5000 shares have been donated altogether - that's just under $1 million - with $126,000 from Launchgood givers.
All we can say is thank you and pray that your donations are accepted as a great sadaqah jariyah for yourselves and your loved ones. The one request we have is if you can share this appeal with your friends and ask them to take benefit in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it'. [Sahih Muslim]
Kind regards,
Ayman Agabani
