Our community is grieving the loss of 4 precious lives who were taken simply because of their faith.

The rise in hate crimes and acts of Islamophobia must be condemned by all levels of society. We will survive this test through hope, love, our unshakeable believe in God, and a firm commitment to the pursuit of justice.

The pages have been consolidated into one to avoid confusion.  This campaign is supported by the London Muslim Community, NCCM, and Islamic Relief Canada. All funds will be disbursed through Islamic Relief and done in consultation with family members.

What Happened 

The family was simply out taking an evening stroll when they were devastatingly hit by a large black pickup truck. Witnesses say that the truck was barreling down the road at a high speed.  Emergency crews were called to the scene by several 9-1-1 callers. 4 lives were lost and the youngest, a 9 year old boy, is still fighting for his life.  

Police arrested a 20-year-old man from London Ontario. There is evidence that this was a planned, pre-meditated act motivated by hate. It is believed these victims were targeted because they were Muslim,” said superintendent Paul Waight. The suspect has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in the largest mass killing in the city's history. He is expected to appear in court Monday. We pray that Allah grants this family justice that they deserve.

Support From The Muslim Community

Islamic Relief will collaborate closely with members of family as well as the London Muslim Mosque and NCCM to allocate the funds to fulfill the needs of the sole survivor and dedicate a Sadaqah Jaariya project for the deceased.​ This campaign has been approved  by the family of the victims.  At the present moment the family has indicated that they do not require any financial assistance to support with funeral costs or other arrangements. We will provide updates to the community once activities have been finalized.
