Background

Portsmouth, located on the south coast of England, has become home to a vibrant Muslim community over the years. There has been increasing demand from parents and support from the community for a Muslim faith school in Portsmouth, as there were no such schools in the city or nearby areas.

To meet this need, we searched for a property that could start as a small primary school but also have the potential to expand in the future, with plans for a secondary school, nursery, and community facilities.

Alhamdulillah, we found a 3658 sqm property, an ex-council site, which includes a 3-floor building of 1000 sqm. The property also features a car park and space for outdoor play areas.

The total cost of the building was £750,000. We made an initial payment of £300,000 and will repay the remaining amount over several years. Currently, we have £165,000 left to repay.
