We are raising money to build a purpose-built funeral centre which will cater for ALL, regardless of area, ethnicity or background.

This project aims to remove the current obstacles faced and provide better funeral facilities. The purpose-built funeral building will entail; body washing and shrouding areas, spaces for the family to use during the 3 days of mourning, as well as multi-use spaces for all.

Progress made so far

Thanks to your generous donations and by the will of Allah SWT, we have raised £320,000 so far. This has allowed us to complete the pre-application process, complete all ground surveys as well as plan and submit the final planning application, which has recently been approved. We are now raising funds to start the build stage of the project.

Community impact

Once this project is completed, it will be of use and benefit to the whole community of the town and beyond. This is the first of its kind to be built in Blackburn and is anticipated to be of assistance to all, particularly those families who are grieving at what is usually a sensitive time, paying respects to the deceased in a respectable and dignified manner.
